Neuro-Cognitive Remediation of Emotion Processing in Patients with Borderline Personality Disorder through Psychotherapy

Dynamic Deconstructive Psychotherapy has used neuroscience findings to propose the specific neuroaffective deficits in processing emotion experiences as etiology of borderline personality disorder. The purpose this study was evaluate efficacy improve symptoms patients diagnosed with disorder by remediation neuro-affective defects. This designed a randomized controlled trial using pre-test, post-test and control group. Thirty who were met inclusion criteria, randomly divided into two groups. Both groups evaluated both Borderline Evaluation Severity Over Time (BEST) Patient Health Questionnaire Mood Scale (PHQ-9) questionnaires at baseline over course treatment. Data analysis repeated measures ANOVA indicated that effect measuring time (p=0.001) time/group (p=0.010) on linear combination severity depression significant. result supports based neurocognitive association, attribution, alterity techniques.
